Robert Milazzo
Lead Instructor
Robert Milazzo teaches filmmaking, screenwriting and acting-for-camera classes for various film programs across the country, including Hofstra University, The New School/Parsons School for Design, Rutgers University, Stanford University, the School of Visual Arts and The Film Track at Strasberg.
Robert has also guest-taught film workshops at several schools in Europe and Asia and recently led a two-month film workshop in Beijing, Thailand and the Philippines. Robert Milazzo served as writer/director David Mamet's Project Associate for two years, in addition to having worked with William H. Macy, Mike Nichols and Sidney Lumet in a similar capacity. Robert also served as the Assistant to Executive Producer for NBC's Law and Order: Criminal Intent.
Robert produced the short film Almost Always, which marked the directing debut for actor Mike Myers (Austin Powers); he also produced and directed The Guru Pitka's Four Laws of Happiness starring Mike Myers at various venues in New York City.
Robert's award-winning feature film War Eagle, starring Brian Dennehy, Mare Winningham and Mary Kay Place, can currently be seen in festivals throughout the United States. A theatrical run is scheduled for late 2008.
Gabriella Kessler
Editing
Gabriella is a French-American documentary filmmaker and editor based in New York City. Her films vary from a short documentary on a baked bean factory in Maine to the role of video within an NGO in India. Gabriella has assisted on documentaries for ARTE, France 5 and the Sundance Channel as well as major feature films and has worked on film and video workshops at the Maine International Film and Television Workshops, Video Volunteers, and Barefoot Workshops. Gabriella obtained a BA from NYU and an MA from Goldsmith College in London. Her thesis film debuted at the Sheffield DocFest and was nominated for an RTS Award.
Adam M. Goldstein
Sound
Adam is a director/sound recordist/producer and post production consultant currently based in New York City. He has worked as a writer, director, investigative journalist, producer, cameraman, audio field recordist, editor and sound editor and worked both in narrative and documentary format. He is an award-winning video and audio consultant to nongovernmental organizations (NGO's), indigenous rights groups and environmental activist groups. His work has been screened, podcast and broadcast internationally as well as been featured at numerous film festivals around the world.
Miklos Buk
Camera Teacher
Miklos is a Hungarian cinematographer living and working in New York City. He worked on various films such as John Harkrider's Mitchellville, Tony Spiridakis’ Noise, and George Pinter's The Dump. He has been involved in several projects with Michel Gondry, Brian Mertes, Joan Stein, Don Coppola and Jon Schumacher. He was trained at the Academy of Theater and Motion Picture Arts in Budapest, Hungary, 1995 - 2000, and was selected to be part of the Kodak Master Class of Worldwide DP Students in 1997 in Budapest. Miklos Buk has worked on several theater projects. His collaboration with directors includes Jay Scheib UNTITLED MARS (This Title May Change), Brian Mertes THE GREEKS I-III, April Sweeney SHE AND THE EMPTY LIVINGROOM also Shoni Currier STRANGERS.
